The Mission: One Constant > Change > Document it.

I love Balboa Park but the historical buildings there are seldom replaced with different new ones.  If a building deteriorates to the point of falling down and needs to be replaced a more solid carbon-copy replica of the original takes its place.

By comparison landscape gardeners seem to have the power to change or remove things that are causing problems.  They aren’t required to keep everything looking the same as times past.

Technological advances (Photo-stitching) allow us to easily accomplish tasks which previously were not practical to do, presuming they were possible.

The four following pictures were taken at Hazard Center.  They were taken from approximately the same spot.  The first 2 photos were taken 14 years before the second 2.

A lot of construction completed over the intervening 14 years caused the view from the spot to change

The local education communities have been completing a lot of construction projects recently.  SDCE has completed buildings at Mid-City (2006), West City (2009), SDCCD Mesa and North City(2013).
