Boyd Avenue Walkabout

Sunday December 18, 2016 (and Saturday December 24,2016)

I haven't taken a walk up Boyd Avenue for ~6 weeks, away we go.

Two autos climbng hill with apartment complex in background
Looking Good!
Hillside w/o brush on left - trafficed roadway on right
Closer to the top of the hill. Wow! Where did all the brush on the left go.
Blustry sky, wind bowed trees and brushless groud between sidewalk and property fences, viewed from accross roadway
Around the corner at the top of the hill; more of the same.
Homes behind fence, cleared area in front of fences with heavy brush in the distance, on left on imaage
Ah! There's some brush in the distance.
Greater than head high brush/vegetation along sidewall on other side of trafficed roadway
Missed by the chainsaws? A sample of more than head high brush
removed from cleared areas.
Curve in roadway with rebuilt gaurdrail on near side and brushless/de-vegetated hillside on far side
The view from the Tecolote Canyon Park entrance, looking west.
Curved road with de-vegetated hillside and giant tree stump on left
Looking back from across street at Tecolote Canyon Park entrance.
Image of de-vegetated hillside, 2 Chainsaws, and title - San Diego City Works - Chainsaw Division
A curved road along which all vegetation and all but a few trees have been removed between sidewalk and property fences
Further along, looking back to the east.
A home with no grass in front yard
And just a little further on a homeowner's response to
drought, high water prices, ...
